What Parents Should Know About the Stiiizy Lawsuit

“Mom, everybody’s vaping.”

“Dad, it’s safe and it’s better than cigarettes.”

Wary parents may be reassured by their child that the candy-flavored THC pens they are vaping are harmless.  Besides, THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) has been legalized in 24 states and the District of Columbia.  But this “normalization” hides the fact that vaping THC by young people can be dangerous and deadly.  This practice of vaping THC is not simply smoking the weed (marijuana) of their parents’ generation.

Unregulated THC is concentrated in vaping oils delivered via heated cartridges (vaping) and produces a potent high which can lead to cannabis-induced psychosis.  In the 12-25 age bracket, the National Institute of Health has confirmed a connection between large dosage THC use and psychotropic conditions, including:

  • Cannabis induced psychosis;
  • Agitation/Anxiety/Paranoia;
  • Obsessive ideation;
  • Depression;
  • Social phobia;
  • Seeing and hearing things that are not there;
  • Suicidal thoughts and attempts increase with the potency of cannabis,

STIIIZY is a manufacturer of THC vaping pens and is profit-driven.  The STIIIZY lawsuit seeks to hold the company accountable for promoting addiction in kids by enticing them with candy-flavored THC pens that appear harmless and fun.

Why Is STIIIZY Being Sued?

A Case for Women wants Stiizy to be held accountable for the damage done to kids who were led to believe that vaping STIIIZY THC pens is safe and even healthy.  The STIIIZY lawsuit claims that STIIIZY failed to warn its customers about the potential risks associated with its products, and specifically targeted younger customers through “cool” marketing tactics.  The STIIIZY lawsuit also seeks substantial financial compensation to help with recovery and managing life after recovery.  A lawsuit sends a powerful message that it’s okay to come forward and seek legal help.

STIIIZY led teens and parents to believe that smoking

(vaping) a STIIIZY candy-flavored THC pen (or “Dab pen”) was safer than smoking and was “cool.”  In fact, there are higher concentrations of THC in vaping, making it dangerous and even deadly.  This surging trend is affecting more and more teens with scary side effects.  The National Institutes of Health (NIH) estimates at least 16.3 million people had a THC use disorder in 2021.  There are growing ER hospital visits for both medical and mental emergencies in adolescents.

STIIIZY is being sued to hold it accountable for the damage done to kids who thought vaping a THC pen was safe.

What Is Cannabis-Induced Psychosis?

Cannabis-induced psychosis is a set of psychotic symptoms triggered by marijuana use. Symptoms of marijuana psychosis are characterized by a loss of touch with reality and include:

  • Delusions;
  • Hallucinations;
  • Dissociation/Depersonalization;
  • Disorganized thoughts.

Cannabis-induced psychosis is especially dangerous because the brains of young people are still developing and are not fully formed until the age of 25.  Therefore, psychotropic drugs used at this time may alter the physiological neurodevelopment, especially of the frontal cortex and limbic system (part of the brain involved in behavioral and emotional responses). Cases of suicide ideation and even suicide have, unfortunately, been linked to the use of THC Pens.

Can I File a STIIIZY Lawsuit?

         Lawsuits filed against STIIIZY are CIVIL legal cases against the company.  We want STIIIZY to be held accountable for putting young people in danger by enticing them with so-called “safe” use of potent THC vaping pens.

  • Civil litigation creates real societal change. Instead of putting one person in prison (as in criminal litigation), we are able to punish corporations and institutions where it hurts the most – the bottom line.
  • Civil litigation can be handled on a contingency fee basis, so it is affordable for everyone.
  • Civil litigation affirms the harm that has been done to individuals by providing monetary compensation. Yes, we know that money can’t change the past, but it can help get chaotic lives back in order.

To move forward with a lawsuit against STIIIZY, follow the step-by-step instructions below to ensure ultimate success in holding the company accountable for your child’s pain and securing potential financial compensation:

  1. Contact A Case for Women and take your power back with a STIIIZY lawsuit. ACFW can connect you with a national law firm that has the experience and resources to represent you on a contingency fee basis, not hourly.
  2. An advocate from ACFW will contact you, ask you a few questions about THC vaping, and connect you with an experienced lawyer. There is power in speaking up and telling your story, confidentially, of course.
  3. If you are qualified to continue, an agreement from the law firm will be sent to you for your review and signature.
  4. After you have signed and returned the agreement, the law firm will get to work for you.
  5. Your law firm may need some information from you in order to prepare your case for settlement or trial.
  6. A STIIIZY lawsuit will be filed with the court.
  7. Settlement negotiations or trial proceedings commence until finalization.

How Much Does It Cost to Work With a STIIIZY Lawyer?

Every law firm that A Case for Women works with works on a contingency basis only.  This means that the firm will front all the costs, including their time, and take on all the financial risk. If the law firm is successful and there is a verdict or settlement, the firm will receive a percentage.  If they don’t win or settle the case, the law firm will absorb all the time and costs they put into the case.  You will not owe them anything.  There is no charge to you ever for A Case of Women’s services.
